Our mission
Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a future powered by renewable energy. As a specialist renewables manager, we believe there is a huge opportunity to unblock investment in renewables by building a bespoke portfolio across multiple renewable assets, technologies, and locations to create better outcomes for our investors.
Why Octopus Australia?
Since being established in 2018, Octopus Australia has experienced significant growth, both through the expansion of our team and projects. We are much more than just an investment manager. Our team of 50 across Sydney and Melbourne, have a unique blend of skills and expertise covering all facets of the renewable energy market including; investment, development, energy market, grid and engineering, asset management, and community engagement.
We manage over A$1.1bn* in assets across wind, solar, storage and hybrid technology projects and have a pipeline of projects totalling A$11bn* in value. Our operational assets include Darlington Point solar farm with over 1 million solar panels, and our Dulacca wind farm with 43 wind turbines. (*as at February 2024.)

Energy Infrastructure
Our in-house Investment, Development, Engineering and Grid experts allow us to be closer to our assets and efficiently manage projects across their entire lifecycle from land acquisition through to operation, creating an integrated portfolio of renewable energy and storage assets.
Energy Markets and Technology
We take a data and technology driven approach to constructing our energy portfolio. These insights guide our portfolio construction decisions and allow the assets within our portfolio to work together, allowing us to develop innovative energy products that look like the future of energy in Australia.
Change
We’re committed to creating meaningful change for our communities and the environment. Change is why people want to work with Octopus Australia and incorporates our team’s culture, our community programs and our indigenous joint venture Desert Springs Octopus.
