Schools now educating their students on Renewable Energy Forms

17 Jul 2019

Schools around the globe believe that Renewable Energy is the way of the future, now incorporating it into their compulsory education system. “Wowed by wind farms… the schoolkids of Aberdeenshire” in the UK have experienced field trips learning all about;

  • How many times does the wind turbine spin a day?,
  • How much electricity does on wind turbine generate?,
  • How are wind turbines made?,
  • How long does it take to make a wind turbine?,
  • And so forth…

In educating the next generation around these sustainability issues, schools are able to demonstrate to their students why renewable energy is so important and should be front of mind.

Backing the expansion and education of the renewable energy world, Octopus Renewables has grown to become the largest investor/owner of solar power in Europe, as well as growing to become the leading investor in onshore wind. Octopus’s global teams work closely with international investors allowing for recent significant investments in Australia, Finland, France and Italy.
